Respect Life

40 Days for Life:

• 40 Days of prayer and fasting (2 campaigns each year)
• 40 Days of peaceful vigil held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in front of Planned Parenthood
• 40 Days of Communion outreach

March for Life:

The March for Life takes place in Washington, D.C. each January. On January 19th, we will begin with 5:30 AM Mass, participants then board a bus which departs from the Saint Alphonsus parking lot at 6:00 a.m. for Washington, D.C., where it meets up with marchers from all across the United States to peacefully walk in support of life. Following the March, the bus returns to Saint Alphonsus later that evening. For more information, please contact Christine Miller at c[email protected].

Walking With Moms In Need:

Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide, parish-based initiative to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. It works to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs. Volunteers walk with moms throughout the motherhood journey, offering them authentic Christian friendship and ongoing support. With the goal of nurturing the sanctity of life in our parish community, Walking with Moms in Need (WWMIN) looks to:

• extend compassionate care to women and men in expected or unexpected pregnancies
• provide access to critical support resources and pastoral care through parish-wide support initiatives
• accompany those who have lost a child to abortion, miscarriage, or stillbirth

Saint Aidan Parish Wallking With Moms In Need Mission Statement:

St. Aidan parish will nurture the sanctity of life by extending compassionate care to women and men in expected or unexpected pregnancies, those seeking parenting support, and those who have lost a child to abortion, miscarriage, or stillbirth by providing access to critical support resources, pastoral care, and parish-wide support initiatives.
