CATHOLIC MEN’S FELLOWSHIP:
Catholic Men’s Fellowship is a weekly gathering of Catholic men to discuss the scripture readings for the following Sunday. They share their faith, fellowship and prayers. The Catholic Men’s Fellowship meets Wednesday mornings at 6:45 a.m. for about one hour, and is open to all who desire fellowship with other men of faith. For more information, please contact Deacon Jeff Ludwikowski at jludwikowski@gmail.com
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
First Friday Eucharistic Adoration is held each first Friday of the month immediately following the 8:00 a.m. Mass until 6:30 p.m. When there is a wedding rehearsal, adoration ends at 6:00 p.m. Jesus is always physically present to us in what looks and tastes like bread, but the consecrated host is a man, and that man is God. What a blessed two-fold faith we have in our Eucharistic Lord. In order for us to pray before Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, the consecrated host is placed in the Monstrance on the altar. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament provides the opportunity for personal adoration, a face-to- face exchange with our Lord. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament continues through the summer months. Groups, committees, and ministries are encouraged and welcome to commit to a holy hour. Sign up is available through SignUpGenius. For more information, please contact Karen Landau at klandau1@gmail.com.
MEN’S AND WOMEN’S RETREATS:
Men’s and Women’s Retreat Groups each attend an annual weekend retreat during January at Saint Paul of the Cross Retreat Center on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Each year, the weekend retreat focuses on a different theme upon which the various conferences, workshops and reflections are centered. For more information regarding the Men’s Retreat, please contact Ed Thomas at ewtmlt@yahoo.com. For more information regarding the Women’s Retreat, please contact Mary Ann Sembrat at msembrat@printdaughters.com.
PRAYER CHAIN:
Prayer Chain was designed to accommodate urgent/critical prayer requests, for such reasons as surgery, illness, or accidents. Anyone with prayer requests contacts the coordinator who puts the chain in motion. Prayer chain members are contacted by phone and/or e-mail with the prayer request. The time commitment for prayer chain members is their own personal daily prayer commitment. For more information, please contact Barb Busi at lbsjmbusi@aol.com.
VOCATIONS PRAYER MINISTRY:
Vocations Prayer Ministry Committee consists of a group of parish individuals and families committed to praying for vocations on a daily basis. The 31 Club Prayer Team agrees to pray one Rosary on their assigned day each month. Prayers are offered for those discerning a call to religious life, for the college seminarians at Saint Paul Seminary, for those in theological studies at major seminaries, as well as for all priests and those in religious life. Other activities include the promotion of vocation awareness and the encouragement of all members of religious life. For more information, please contact Gerry Jones at thejonesgirl@comcast.net.
