Holy Week Schedule

 

PALM SUNDAY April 14

At 9:15 a.m. at Saint Alphonsus and at 9:45 a.m. at Saint Alexis we will bless the palms in the parking lot and then process into church. Palms will also be distributed at all the other Masses including Saturday evening.

HOLY THURSDAY April 18
Chrism Mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. At 7:00 p.m. The Triduum begins with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Alexis. All are encouraged to attend Mass and celebrate Christ’s gifts and Priesthood. 

Saint Alexis Church will remain open for Eucharistic Adoration until midnight and close with Night Prayer.

GOOD FRIDAY April 19
No Mass on this day. A day of fast and abstinence
12:00 Noon Stations of the Cross
1:00 p.m. Reflections on the Glorious Mysteries
2:00 p.m. Celebration of the Lord’s Passion 
                   all at Saint Alphonsus
7:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross  at Saint Alphonsus

HOLY SATURDAY April 20
No Morning Mass
11:00 a.m. Blessing of food baskets at Saint Alexis

EASTER VIGIL April 20 - at Saint Alphonsus
The Easter Vigil will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the blessing of new fire, paschal candle and the
baptismal water.  All are encouraged to attend this celebration.  It is the “Mother of all Liturgies.”

EASTER SUNDAY April 21
Masses:  8:00 a.m.  Saint Alexis
               9:30 a.m.  Saint Alphonsus
              10:00 a.m.  Saint Alexis
              11:30 a.m.   Saint Alphonsus
              12:00 p.m.  Saint Alexis

Reminder: There will be NO 5:00 p.m. Mass Easter Sunday at Saint Alexis.
