It’s that time of year when we start thinking about what we will send to St. Vincent Mission in David, Kentucky. For over twenty years, our parish has generously provided gifts for their annual Christmas Store which provides presents to needy families who would otherwise have little or nothing for Christmas.
Due to COVID-19, the Mission will be opening up their Christmas Store early in order to have enough time slots for everyone and so that they can meet social distancing requirements. Because of our regulations here, we have decided to keep it simple and collect gift cards to present to them from our parish. Cards from Target, Walmart, and Amazon will be most beneficial. You may drop your gift cards in the front foyer of the rectory or in the basket at Mass beginning Sunday, October 25.
If you prefer to order a gift and have it sent there directly you may send it to:
St. Vincent Mission/Christmas Store 6369 Hwy. 404 David, Kentucky 41616
Please indicate that you are a member of Saint Aidan Parish in your gift note.
St. Vincent Mission is an outreach organization that works with those in need with a Food Pantry, Emergency Assistance Program, Education, Home Repair Program, and Grow Appalachia, a food security program. Its Christmas Store makes it possible for hundreds of individuals to receive Christmas gifts.
