Ministry to the Sick focuses on reaching those people who are unable to attend Mass or who are unable to be involved in community life at Saint Aidan. The members are usually Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who visit shutins, elderly or those who are ill, to bring Jesus into their homes. On occasion, they will also provide transportation for a parishioner to attend weekend mass. In addition, Outreach Ministry to the Sick sends cards to parishioners who have been hospitalized. They will periodically call on elderly or shut-in parishioners, and serve as a “resource” for social services by coordinating help for the needs of those ill and elderly, such as transportation needs. The time commitment can be minimal (1-2 hours per month), or as much as you can help. For more information, please contact Barb Busi at homecare@saintaidanparish.org.
