CYO Sports supports comprehensive Catholic youth ministry and understands the importance of play. Through play, adolescents learn to compete, or strive together, for the sake of something greater than themselves. They learn that there is something more lasting than gamesmanship.

Grow

CYO Sports helps your teen grow and develop into their God-given potential as human beings. In a small way, it helps move adolescents from gamesmanship to sportsmanship.

Evangelize

Evangelize through athletics with CYO Sports. Usher adolescents from the gym to the church and introduce them to Jesus Christ and His Gospel. This moves them beyond sportsmanship to discipleship.

We are excited to announce we will have a girls and boys basketball team this year! We need to get at least 10 girls and 10 boys to have 2 teams. Our CYO Basketball Program is open to all high school boys and girls in grades 9-12 that are NOT on a current school team. 

There will be an information meeting for both parents and teens on Sunday, October 20th after the 10:00 am Mass in the Youth Room. 

The season runs from December 1, 2024 to the end of February, 2025. All practices and home games are held at the Ryan Center on Saint Alphonsus campus.

To register, please fill out the Registration Form and Mandatory Diocese of Pittsburgh Medical Release form below. The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 30th. 

Cost is $120 per player.
