Faith Formation for Children 

(PreK-8th Grade)

Family Program (PreK - 6)
First Sunday of every month 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM starting in October
Open to grades K-6 and their siblings ages 3-4 
* We are actively working on a nursey for toddler siblings, and will keep you posted!
Our Family Program brings the family together once a month after Mass. We meet in the cafeteria at St. Alexis for a snack and fellowship. Families will pray together and do a hands-on activity to grow in faith together. Then, the children will go to class with a volunteer catechist while the parents participate in adult formation designed to help them raise their children in the Catholic faith as a Domestic Church. The weeks that we do not meet on site, families will complete lessons at home using the Christ in Us curriculum from Sadlier Publishing. This curriculum has all grade levels learning the same topic in each chapter, at increasing depth and maturity as they get older. So you can complete the home lessons together!

Traditional Faith Formation (Grades 1-6)
Wednesdays weekly from 5:30-7:00 PM at St. Alexis starting Sept 18
Each class is led by a volunteer catechist from the parish. We use the Christ in Us curriculum from Sadlier publishing.  Classes include prayer, service, Mass, Confession, and a variety of formational experiences. 

Edge (Grades 7-8)
Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 PM beginning September 18

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Age 3 - 3rd Grade)
   Level I: ages 3-6  

• Tuesdays OR Wednesdays weekly 5:30 - 7:00 PM
• *3 year olds must be bathroom independant

Level II: grades 1-3 

• Tuesdays weekly 5:30-7:00 PM (Wednesdays are FULL)
• Must have participated in CGS Level I

CGS is a Montessori faith formation model that takes place in a specially prepared environment, called an atrium, designed to present the teachings of our faith to children in a developmentally appropriate, hands-on way, rooted in Sacred Scripture and Liturgy. Homeschool (Grades 1-7)
Parents are the primary catechists of their children. Parents always have the option to teach their children at home. We will provide the textbooks and assignments will be turned in weekly to track completion.
