The fish Fry at St. Aidan Parish at the St. Alphonsus Church site is in full swing and, and once again, serving record numbers of guests. You may have noticed or experienced traffic issues on Ash Wednesday and last Friday. The necessity to convert the fish fry to “take-out only” has greatly increased the traffic on our St. Alphonsus Church site and adjoining roadways. We are busy making adjustments to correct the situation and expect a speedy return to the great experience we are known for, although via curbside pick-up, not in person. We are grateful for your past and present support and remain committed to keeping our environment safe for volunteers and guests.
Improvements are underway and we have reached out to Township officials for support in reducing traffic delays so orders are filled at our traditional speed. We are also coordinating with other parish fish fry’s in the area that experienced similar issues, sharing best practices and solutions.
While we are adjusting, it is possible that guests will STILL encounter longer-than-usual wait times but our goal is minimal delay in the pick-up process.
Please be patient with our hard-working volunteers who are here to serve you. As part of our improvements, you will see new vehicle traffic patterns (we are adding a second pick-up point) and adjusted pick-up procedures. Regrettably, we are temporarily removing a few more menu items to help streamline the process until acceptable traffic flow is achieved. The result of our changes will be to provide our guests with the high quality food and efficiency they have come to expect.
******To help us expedite orders, PLEASE PRINT and BRING the on-line order acknowledgement (or have it handy on your phone) and have ready the LAST NAME under which phone-in and on-line orders have been placed. There will be a process to serve guests without order acknowledgments but this may delay the delivery of meals. Pre-paying orders on-line is strongly recommended as this will also speed up your pick-up process.******
